Aba, Nigeria, July 28, 2026 — Today we are officially launching Maimaps, a navigation platform that makes it possible to search, discover, and navigate to any place in Nigeria using the country's most precise location reference system. Maimaps is available now on iOS, Android, and web.
This launch is nearly two years in the making. In November 2024, we introduced Loccodes — a universal location identity system designed to give every place in Nigeria a stable, machine-readable reference, the way a phone number identifies a person or a domain identifies a website. With Maimaps, that infrastructure becomes something any Nigerian can use every single day.
The problem we set out to solve
Millions of places across Nigeria lack formal addresses that digital systems can reliably interpret. The result is friction that compounds across every sector. Delivery companies make multiple confirmation calls before dispatching a rider. Customers write paragraph-long directions. Businesses cannot standardise their location across an invoice, a website, and a support ticket at the same time.
We built Loccodes to solve the identification problem. We built Maimaps to solve the accessibility problem. Together, they form a complete location layer — one where a place not only has an identity, but that identity can be searched, shared, and navigated to directly inside a mapping platform built around it.
